Is this the worst "Country" song ever written, recorded and performed? I've listened to a lot of crap in my time, but this...........(and what's with that guy with the stupid hats?)
I absolutely love this song. One of my favorites from sugar land. Very catchy. I had never seen this video before today. I like the video as well. Jennifer Nettles voice is something special, and this song is no exception.
I agree with pwd's comment above -- the video is far worse than the song, but having said that, I won't be disappointed if I never hear the song again.
But that brings me to two of the reasons I care not a wizz for current so-called country music -- first, the lyrics of most of the songs could be written on the head of a pin . . . take four or five words, repeat them 29 time, and that's all there is. Second, WHY do most of the singers (and Jennifer Nettles is a good example) INSIST on singing with a Reba-like mush-mouth accent -- even if they really don't have that accent? Tim McGraw is a prime example -- horrible phony accent. Well, I've overstayed my welcome. Over and out.
Man, you've obviously never Taylor Swift, if you think this is the lowest that Country can sink. And I could go on and on. This song is a great example though of what Merle meant when he said " I hear a lot of catch tunes coming out of Nashville today, but what ever happened to emotion?"
This is far from the worst song I've ever heard although the video is a strong candidate for dumbest video ever
