I found this little blurb on Amazon as part of a biography, and I think it says a lot:
(artist name) is one of those musical treasures that lurk beneath the popular "culture" radar and we ignore at our own peril lest they get discouraged and disappear, only to be "discovered" by Sweden or somewhere. (No offense, we love you Sweden!) Then we are left to scratch our heads and say "Hey, why didn't WE love her/him/them first?"
I couldn't have said it better myself.
There's a lot of stuff on this blog--and almost all of it is relatively unknown and produced by budding artists. Can you do your usual great job of separating the wheat from the chaff for the rest of us?
